Buyout

If I lease an aircraft from another airline (buyout option was available on purchase) I seem not to be able to buyout that exact aircraft. Why's that.

Yes, it's a small feature that would improve fun.

Contact the aircraft owner via PM and ask them if they would be willing to sell you the plane after the lease expires. You'll have to do without the plane for at least two weeks, as it gets returned to the owner upon lease expiration, so make plans for that.
