World to go for after BW?

Hi )

Next week my BW will end. Although I am getting familiar with the game, and I love it), I just want to get some advice on which World to choose as my next one. I am a bit confused, because all the 'serious' worlds are already on their way for a long time, so what could a new player expect in joining a world?  Waiting for a new world to begin is not an option, because it might be an experimental one perhaps (so I read), and I just don't want to take part in that for now. I am pretty sure more new players to this game are having the same concerns.

The new game world is unlikely to be 'experimental'. That is just wishfull thinking from a couple of players. If it is another long game world and starts in 1955 or there abouts, just be warned that play is almost glacial in the first 5-10 years as demand is terrible to non-existant. You would probably be better off in an existing world if you are still learning.

As far as joining exisitng gameworlds... that is not a bad option. There are still plenty of openings in these gameworlds and they all have long enough to run to enable you to build up a large successful airline if you get it right and want to do that.

The current Jet Age and Dawn of the Millennium games have seen a lot of bankruptcies lately. There are some good opportunities to be had, and there are decent planes on the used market. Current game date in DOTM is 1995 and in JA it is 1986.

If I were joining DOTM, I would open up shop at a big airport--lots of big jets avail L1011 and A300/310 to open up some serious long haul and expand quickly.  Airports like Paris CDG and Toyko Narita have a lot of potential.  Fuel is on the rise, but with the unserved demand you should be able to get strong LF.  Good luck.
