Financial view - what's being compared?

I'm sure someone must have asked this rather basic question before; but I can't find any answer in the forum, though: What comparison does Financial View show - weekday vs. weekday (e.g. Monday vs. last Monday)? Last 7 days vs. earlier past 7 days? Or else what? Can't figure it out myself. Does B check days count in? Cancellations? Other off-schedule days?
