Since you don´t know how all other different values of your competing flights influence PAX´s choice, knowing them doesn´t mean much.Competitors always can change fares, so no security at all. Try and error is the way to go and also stays so all game through.

When your image goes up the way to go is to raise prices, not discounting them Unless of course you have competition...

There is no precize forecast of what any discounts or raises will do, since it always depends on competition. Often read tip for discount through your early stages with low CI and RI is 10%.
I myself never discount flights in early stages and just wait until my CI/RI climb.Then I start discounts and raises according the LF I want to reach.Never failed with this tactic,though other tactics work, too.
It´s all about being at a good location, using the right material in good scheduling and avoiding huge competition until you are settled with your CI.And some luck that no bigger airline is focusing your base when you are still young and weak.
