Dawn of the Millennium scenario starts next Friday
« on: July 20, 2013, 10:44:14 AM »
The current Dawn of the Millennium scenario is ending soon and according to our normal game world rotation policy the next world is about to start soon with the same theme. The starting date for Dawn of the Millennium #6 is set to be the next Friday, 26th July, and estimated time for launch is at 21.00 UTC (that's 2pm in NYC or 3am in Tokyo).

Please remember that the initial game day is 24 hours long with constant used aircraft market refreshes so you can also join in later during the day. There will be some 400-500 player spaces available on day 1. The final decision if this scenario too will continue all the way to 2020, like the new Jet Age, has not yet been made but it is a possibility.

+1 from me also. It would be very helpful, however, to know one way or the other by the time the game starts as it greatly affects fleet planning!

Personally, I think a great game lineup would be all game worlds running to 2020....a new JA starting every 8 months (2 concurrent games), a new DOTM every 12 months, and a new MT every 8 months with game lengths of 64, 44, and 24 years respectively.

+1 on running till 2020. DOTM is my favorite world and I would love to play it through modern times. I would also like to see it being open to less players.

Sami,  will you be adding a "remove tech stop box" onto the route management page. This would greatly help in the long game worlds.

DOTM should go to 2020, otherwise there is no such thing as fleet planning--you can fly BAC 1-11 or 727 the entire game as I have done in previous DOTM.

Is 21.00 UTC same as 2 pm in NYC or 3 am in TOKYO?

2100 UTC is 5pm in NYC. Unless I hear otherwise I'm taking UTC as correct - afterall this is an aviation sim.

This is correct, but seems that the online time zone calculator I used for this wasn't.
