One of my alliance members mentioned that he got a PM from another airliner saying that "his routes were trashed, and blaming the alianve memer for his bankrupcy"

Is this what the game is now?!

You know who you are!

Such behaviour is not allowed in this website or in these forums (private or public messages, does not matter..). Please report any occurrences to the administration (ie. me).

If the bad behaviour continues and we determine that the user is not acting according to the rules of the service, then we have the right and ability to remove the member in question from the game (and in such cases our threshold for doing that is very low, as intimidation or bullying is not tolerated).

The way I read it there was no intimidation, just petty whinging from someone who had been run outta town, forgive me if I'm wrong but this game is about running a business, which means if you can make your competetor fail your doingthe right thing. we all want the best market share at our hub at the end of the day.

I have nothing in this matter, but as Glen says this is a business game... and in real business this kind of things happen everyday.

We should differentiate between "In Game" mesages (i.e. a CEO talking with another CEO) and "Out Of Game Messages" (i.e. players talking with players). Of course we have to be correct when talking with another players, but when we are talking as the CEO of an airline, we are ROLEPLAYING and in this case we can be "bad guys" if this is the kind of RP we want to play.

totally agree on the last post. Verbal abuse is wrong, and if you are of a sensitive nature and don't want the competition, start up in a smaller airport where the big boys have no interest and you have no rivals to trash your routes.

this game i did'nt want to get into the scrum of things with LHR or LGW so i went smaller, it's just as challenging but in a different way.

I will admit that I have sent an email to someone who opened a route that made little sense other than to wreck the profit of the 2 airlines already serving it.  It went something like:  I know what you are doing, and I'm not going anywhere.

If that's wrong, I certainly won't do it again.  (It wasn't the person mentioned by the OP.  This airline was not in an alliance at the time.)  But at the same time, as the person said above, it is all about of the role playing we are doing.  As long as it doesn't cross the line, I see no harm in a little back and forth between airlines.

Most of us don't know late game yet.

It is going to be all about setting up lines solely to hurt someone else.

deepblue501

yeah, setting up lines IF there are still slots available... :-\

Thats not a problem, but when people start threatning or accusing someone of delibiratly destroying their airline, than things go bad. A simple please go away, or I am not leaving this route, or even a friendly reminder "Get ready for some competition" is okay.

why not just leave forum moderation to the official moderator(s). any complaints can be privately sent to people who WORK FOR this game.
