Complaint about AWS ADMINISTRATION

Closed routes:
» EA3801, LHE - KIX 
» EA3805, LHE - KIX 

These routes have been closed since a previous warning has been sent and no actions have been taken by your airline. The routes are closed and the slots associated with these have been released back to the public slot pool.

For the last 1 week "server" had closed my Osaka routes for twice (in Beginners World)...for the 1st one I directly wrote to SAMI in order to solve the BUG, but he has not responded me (negatively or positively).

EA3801 was flying on 1st-3rd-5th-7th days (blocked to 180 pax) with a 762
EA3805 was flying on 2nd-4th-6th (blocked to 180 pax) with a 762

*LHE-KIX average demand is 160.-pax per day

NOW I AM WRITING A PUBLIC LETTER, BY BLAMING ON "THE ADMINISTRATION"

first question is always : have you checked that each flight is actually happening on seperate days? if you have over-night flights, (with the two routes in question taking off/landing at different times) then you may find them being counted as flying next day ; add in that actual days flight as well = over-supply.

Looking at the graphs for just one-way on the route (HQ> destination) may mean you have missed what's actually happening on the return leg (destination>HQ).

Thats the most common cause of this issue when not flying a 7-day route but mixing different routes to cover the week.

What do you think? I have more than 50 routes like these...but the only problem is about KIX.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in the warning. They are 100% correct - this has been checked and verified already in the past.

You have had excessive amount of seats on the route, which is not allowed in accordance with the rules, and this has triggered the automated warning. The message you received provides direct links to the route planning view of that particular route and clicking those would have shown where the problem is pretty much immediately.

If you did not check the links, I would simply guess that the problem was that on some days of the week, the RETURN sector of that route happened 2x daily instead of intended 1x daily.


(Also, you said you have PMed me? Any suspected bug reports or similar do NOT belong to private messaging of the forum, as I have rarely time to check them in due time, and more importantly - anything important may get lost in the "flood". All reports must be posted to the proper sub-forum here at the public boards, so that they can be properly tracked and responded.)

It is possible that the return leg has different demand. Have you checked for that possiblity?
What is the demand for KIX-LHE?

Already checked it & the average is around 220 pax (ex Kix to Lhe)...

Pls tell me what to do STEP-BY-STEP...

Despite I am playing in Beginners World (for fun), I am old enough in this game to not to make such silly mistakes like duplicating the daily routes...

Might be worth checking another thread just opened about demand on some KIX routes : seems it fluctuates rather wildly; according to the poster, after one warning, he found the demand on the route in question had gone to 0.

So, this may be the cause of your problems. the thread is in bug reports :

I'm happy with the administration. While their initial warnings to me came as a surprise and a moderate annoyance, they were kind enough to send a thank you letter after I blocked out a small number of seats to lift the warning.

The amount of oversupply you are allowed to have has changed recently sparking more warnings but that is also why the option to block seating was added. The solution could be as simple as limiting a 100 seat aircraft to 90 seats in most cases. If it is just one day of significantly lower demand that is causing the problem, you may want to split up the route into individual daily flights and simply block seats on the offending day.

I also a happy with the seat-blocking feature : solves the problem nicely and when demand grows to get past the over-supply point, its easily removed/adjusted. Meanwhile, you have grown the RI to max to take advantage of that later demand increase.

BTW : does anyone else deliberately block seats to cause an under-supply thus allowing price-jacking?

This would be pointless. If there is 200 demand, and jacking the prices 50% still leaves 150 people willing to buy tickets, then you'll sell 150 seats, regardless of whether you have 200 seats available or have blocked it down to 160.

Dear All,

Pls check the most recent chart (as attached) & tell me, if I am wrong or the 'server'...

Don't forget that I blocked my seats at 180.-pax in case of any unexpected demand drops...as far as I know my limit is 2 times of the real demand.
