My dream for an event like this:

Washington DC:
Friday afternoon, Smithsonian in downtown DC. Initial gathering, plenty of time to view things.
Friday night, dinner at local pub

Saturday late morning, go to Dulles for XYZ tour (too many of you are pilots and have to make this happen)
Saturday late afternoon, go to the Smithsonian hangar at Dulles. Get a private tour if possible?
Saturday night, on your own time.

Sunday morning, farewell breakfast.

Of course this needs a good 20 people minimum to make it work. I'd help put it together if we found interest

Count me in during mid of summer, and we should find a date as soon as we have enough people so that we can all get the cheapest possible flights

I'd do my best to help get transportation, hotels and tours prepared. People would have to handle their own airfare. Flat fee for all events. Hopefully some great memories

I have Amadeus access so if you want to make a mileage run out of it I can probably hook you up with the booking.

I will not be able to attend during the summer months unless it is very late summer or March or before.

I'm serious about trying to make this happen. All it will take is 30 to 40 people. I can call hotels and get rates.... Others locally can help get stuff together. Let's finally do this.

Bleh, I have very bad habit of reading a thread and thinking of replying, checking airline instead, then after about a week wonder to myself "what was I going to do again?"

I am game for this. Can we work out a date so I can set aside some vacation time?

It is a good time. I have gone every year for the last 4 years - MCO 2009, EWR 2010, PDX 2011, MEM 2012, and now 2013 is CLE. MEM was a little disorganized, but other than that every gathering has been great. I highly recommend you make the trek to KCLE next June, Swiftus, well worth the time!
