Not to nit pick but I don't think Quantas should be banned as it is NOT Qantas...(yes its probably not the reason they chose this) its Latin.

actually, Quantas is a common mis-spelling of QANTAS by non-Australians. I believe it is because Quantas is how it is pronounced. QANTAS actually stands for Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Service, the name it traded under when it was foundered in 1921

Not to be nitpicky either, but it was actually founded on the 13th July 1920 in a motel room in the Imperial Hotel in Queen St, Brisbane, where Hudson Fysh and Paul McGusiness became business partners in the venture. (Celebrating its 95th Brithday this year, 1 year behind KLM. Making Qantas the world's 2nd oldest continously operating airline.)

Honestly, I dont know what quantas means in Latin. But that would have been more believable if the airline wasn't based in Australia and the letters wasn't all capitalized.

Not to mention QANTAS has also bought out the www.quantas.com domain as well. :)

mostly all foreign news papers (other than oz ofc) spell Quantas - not sure why. Especially the yank ones. Gets my temper rising. Dont know it, dont report it, if you do then double check it.

Jesus christ, people in aviation industry itself getting it wrong shame shame shame!!!!
