Stand Up Flights

I've noticed that my stand up flights do poorly in comparison to real life?  Does this have to do with connections not factoring into loads?

Stand Up Flight = Aircraft leaves hub, last flight out at night, typically, 8-9PM - and returns first thing in the morning, allowing for maximum number of connections out of the hub city in the AM and usually work in extra day time turn.

I can schedule these using longer layovers, but the load factors are always poor no matter what.

Does the current release not favor these?  If so, no big deal - but is it coming?

Probably the flight departs too early from the night stop ..before 0530 or so?

I've stopped scheduling them - but in my first two failed marriages, I tried different combos between 5AM and 7AM returns to the hub with out much success.

I have never managed more the 40%LF for night flights but they do tend to make a small profit and making a small profit is better then having your plane sat on the tarmac making none.
