I'm fairly new to this game but some things just don't make sense to me. If the object of the game is to make money wouldn't it make more sense to put planes on routes with no competition than to place 4 or 5 planes on a route with competition? For example, if I have a route from LA to Denver with 3 other airlines, wouldn't it be smarter to place planes on routes to las vegas, salt lake, san francisco, etc with no competition instead of placing those planes on the route with 3 other airlines or am I missing something???

Go ahead, open the free routes gives you more cash in the beginning, but it may be harder to step in an established market later on.
