Staff and Fleet Replacement

I'm currently replacing my older leased 732s (some nearing D-Check) with owned A320s, will the crews transfer to the new aircraft or will I end up with a load of spare 737 crew while new A320 crews are hired

As long as your staffing is set to automatic, people will be hired and fired as required.

You will notice however that you will be paying for the new fleet addition to your airline.

Thanks, I knew about the commonality, I'm keeping number of types to a minimum (3 with the A320s) I'm hoping to have the B732s leave the fleet in the next couple of years...

No, automatic staffing does not fire anyone.

The 732 and the a320 should be the same(large aircraft)  thus you shouldn't have extra staff.
