hi everyone, does anyone know if it is possible to check prices other airlines are charging on your routes? or any route for that matter?

thanks

Jps

No, it's not, as not even the real airlines do that. And they don't do it, because they can't (the prices shown on ads and internet are just the lowest fares and have nothing to do with real prices).
Also, if oyu had used the search function, you'd already have found the answer to your question without having to write a new post and stuff the forum with multiple posts of the same issue or question.

Um, real airlines have access to the various GDS systems used by all airlines. Real airlines have to monitor their competition in order to ensure their fares aren't highly over/under-priced.

When a competitor lowers a fare on a particular route, the other airline(s) often quickly matches the fare on the same route or counterattacks with a fare sale at the competitor's hub.

this would be disadvantagous to the game i think, it means we would just search for the routes where airlines were charging the highest fares and obviously invade those routes. even if they do in reality check each others prices i think it ads a sense of challenge to the game to find out good routes

Also its worth to note that price is just one of the many factors a pax will fly on your aircraft.

It also depends on:

Company image
Route Image
Time of day
Aircraft
Type of Seat
Frequency of service

So.. price is one of the many factors... just cause you lower your prices $1, doesnt mean you'll get higher LF%

You should always set your price based on what it costs to run your airline. High LF doesnt always mean higher income/profits. It just looks nice when you view the "Game Area" main page  :-\
