Alliance scoring

I am wondering if all alliances are being careful with their scoring.  I mean is it important for an Alliance to have a good score and does it impact its airlines?  I know some alliances are disregarding that score because they claim that strikes, missed maintenance, BKs are out of the control of the alliance.
whats your thought on the alliance scoring?

The alliance scoring metric is far from perfect, but I will not get into that as there have been several threads discussing it. My opinion is that, perfect or not, it measures every alliance based on the same exact parameters and therefore is the best tangible measure of an alliances performance we have available to us. This does not mean that the alliance with the highest score is hands down the best alliance, though, as intangibles such as the alliance community play a large role in the experience a member has. What the alliance score measures is how well the alliance adhered to the scoring guidelines, how well the management monitored their alliance for possible problems, and how the community came together to help solve those problems so that all airlines could survive and (hopefully) prosper.

Score doesn't matter--rating does.  The rating is what can add company image points to the airlines in the alliance.  If you are in an alliance with a 100% rating and leave it, you'll see an immediate ~5 point drop in your company image.

It is my experience that after leaving any alliance, regardless of rating, a 5 point CI drop ensues. So I am not sure, beyond the CI boost, that there is any actual benefit to being in an alliance beyond the community interaction?

Possibly the CI drop represents negative press of leaving alliance to avoid alliance jumpers and promote loyalty, and was programmed in before alliance rating was?

I still thing high rating is important for the CI/LF bonus or whatever it is... but you pay your alliance fees so it's just an ancillary marketing campaign.

I think that happens when you dropout of any alliance, regardless the alliance is 100% or not.  I never saw other than a 5% drop when leaving an alliance.  And I ve never seen an actual increase in CI when joining a 100% alliance.  Maybe you can find a slightly better LF, I mean that would make sense, pax from your alliance should help fill up your planes.
