I have notified airways sim of a huge programming error in the game.

The entire route network to and from Osaka Itami has been cleared.  I opened a base there and my base, without my knowledge was moved to Osaka Kansai (KIX).

As of right now, I hope they will respond quickly.  I would hold off opening/rescheduling routes, as there obviously has been a major programming error of some sort... Just incase Either that or a HUGE lack of communication about what would happen to ALL flights to and from Osaka-Itami (ITM).  This switch cost me a nearly instant 50,000-100,000 drop off in passenger counts and I'm getting "anti-monopoly" warnings left and right.  My demand on some flights went from 2000/day to 140/day just as one example.

Please wait for further information from AirwaysSim personnel as to what happened and what happens next.

As replied to your email, no, not an error.

This is a normal feature, since when KIX opens it will become the "major" airport of the region, while ITM remains as secondary airport. And in such cases (only 2-3 them globally over history) the airline is automatically moved to the new airport as it is more comparable to the old airport.

The system has also sent messages of this to the in-game message system several times before the transfer actually took place.

And also same happens when an airport closes and a new airport openes nearby, everything is moved automatically to the new airport. However these cases where the old airport stays as "secondary" airport are always a bit problematic, as often the old airport remains as domestic-only airport while new airport gets the international status. In such case if the airline has lots of domestic routes, some adjustment is needed. But the automated transfer system (of airline) is seen better to transfer ops to the new airport, as otherwise effects would be even larger. However, this isn't very well documented at the moment.

And I'm sorry to disagree with you, but it is NOT documented that all flights will AUTOMATICALLY be moved during game play.  Here are the 3 messages posted to Beginners World #16 - World Events involving the opening of KIX.  Is there proof of opening a new airport, yes.  Does it tell you what happens to your flights?  No.

You don't get thse messages from world events, you should get messages appearing in your airline's inbox titled something like 'IMPORTANT - Changes to your routes', at least 2-3 times before the routes actually get changed.
