I want to know about aircraft maintenance and how it works.

If an aircraft is 94% or 60% and you repair it to 100% or nearly 100% does it then put your CI and also RI up as you are flying very safe planes?

Also when a C or D check happens does this automatically add more maintenance percentage?

I have looked through some of the forums but just can't seem to find an answer.

Please help!

C/D checks do not, in my experience, increase maintenance percentage.

Regarding aircraft creating demand, I don't believe they do. You will typicially see larger aircraft than necessary flying routes because it maintains fleet commonality for the respective airline.

Secondly, some players want more routes for standings sake and will fly an airliner on a route that isn't very profitable- if at all.

Finally, I don't believe mx % increases CI/RI, though I'm not entirely sure on that one...

Normally there is no need to do extra repairs.

If you buy an used plane with about 80% (or up) condition it's usually just fine to fly. Then you just use it normally (with A+B chk scheduled) until next C check and the condition rises to let's say 90%. Again you keep using the plane normally and the condition drops over time as it is in use, and again during B and C checks the condition will raise as repairs are made. So if everything is used like they should be, there is no need to worry about the condition.

Only thing where you need the extra repair is if you buy a plane in poor condition (<80%) and wish to repair it before use.
