Aviation related events you look forward to
« on: December 01, 2011, 03:36:41 PM »
As the title says..

What events do you look forward to?

I for example look forward to see the Airbus A380 in British Airways colours.

Also today I learned that Norwegian is getting a few 787's. The red nose would look good on the 787 I think.

Finally I really look forward of seeing one of the above planes in real life.

Farnborough airshow this year.

Getting to fly the 787 whenever it happens.

Flying to Japan next year hopefully.

Yup, same here.

Also, this is nothing really new, but I have never been on a A340...  I don't see many of them around the airports I generally travel to.  I see a ton of 777s, 747s, and now quite a few A380s, but very few A340s...

Product of being in the USA I guess.

I also just in general look forward to adding a new aircraft type, airline or airport to those which I've done.

Some of the achievements I have planned my holidays around:

Flown from all 5 major London airports (London Southend is next when EZY kick off operations there)

Flown some of my favorite aircraft the 777-300ER, RJ85 and A380

Flying 737 classic before they are retired with LH next summer

Yeah... Southend... You won't miss much there. It's a dump! And besides you can already fly to Jersey from there with FlyMaybe once or twice a week in the summer months. I assume they still do those flights, but alas I fled it a few years back.
