Mass exodus from AWS

Is it just me, or in the light of the bugs and scandals of MT5 (v1.3), many players speak of leaving or are leaving our community. This is quite worrying.

Sami maybe we should protect your customer base and see what can be done to address these issues.

I am calling a crisis meeting here.

I would not be too worried since the (couple of active) people (at the forums) seem to be exaggerating wildly what was discovered. Since neither of the fixed issues call even for a world restart, not even nearly, there is no need to panic. And now the rules have been made extremely clear and nobody should have any issues with the planes etc. from now on.

However I would need to stress that the nitpicking between members at the forum in certain threads (person vs person and alliance vs alliance) will stop. Though in my mind there has not been anything alarming in that either, the talk has been in a quite civilized level still, but a few warnings have been given out. But I do have to comment that the alliance vs alliance targeting was just something that has been waiting to happen since that is oh-so-common when people team up, regardless of the venue.

Ok thanks Sami, great to see you are on top of things. I think what you put needed to be said, has put my mind at rest somewhat. Hopefully things will return to normal soon  :)

Any other comments welcome.

I don't foresee anyone parting the seas.

What I witnessed is some people acting like it is going to be their way or they're going to take the soccer ball and go home.

I find the personal attacks to be naive and childish personally.  I've been told it is only because of the alliance I chose to play with for the game too.  The funny thing for me, though, is that I play more as a free agent in aws.

What on earth does Perkele mean? I guess its an exclamation but the internet doesn't seem to give a useful answer on what it translates to.

Some AWS players should take a break, maybe go outside and breath fresh air.

It's like "Damn It!" i think. I know the translation from Finnish to Swedish. But not really to english. Don't think you can translate it directly.

It's a bit more than "Damn it" though. Means the same thing, but in a bit more violent way.. It's has to be the most common "crude" word in the whole finnish language, even though it doesn't always mean bad things..

People should not try to understand finnish. It's not only the third hardest language in the world, but in my opinion, also the most lunatic language with huge lead among the others ;)

...And sorry for going a bit off-topic ::)

Wait. Now that it just went through my mind that i once got told that, Perkele is the name of a geist in the old finnish mythologi, later on the word perkele is reffered to Satan.

Well, the alliance vs alliance flamewars would do only good to activity of the game. I stopped playing due to RL issues but the discussions make me want to dump real life altogether and return to SkyConnect :D.

On the subject of Finnish, what does "vittu" mean? I used to hear a lot of people saying that as well as "perkele" when I used to play Counterstrike.

(hope this doesnt turn out to be offensive to anyone, if so censor the word and PM me the meaning please)
