Noise impact on passenger comfort

I would like to know if noise level of aircraft impacts the passengers comfort and therefore the company and/or route image...

It doesn't . . .

but passengers DO have a slight preference towards jet aircraft.  That preference is only visible when you are flying against a competitor using turboprops while you are using jets (or vice versa).

Noise restrictions are to be modelled at some stage, but as far as I remember it's simply to ensure rust-buckets can't continue to fly past a certain age rather than passenger preference.

Currently the chapter 1-4 certification shows up on the aircraft page, but it doesn't affect anything so far - as previously posted
