Some issues...

So, my airline based out of IAH is a couple years old. I have about 21 aircraft, all compromised of Boeing jets, mainly made up of 18 Boeing 737-200Adv, 2 B734, and 2 B752.

I used to generate $1-$2million dollars easily in a week. Now profitability is fluctuating between $400,000 to -$800,000. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I've taken a look of my routes, I've eliminated some of the unprofitable ones but the competition seems to have gotten ahead, now they're ahead and control most of the market share and the demand to the routes.

C checks are rolling up and making enough money to cover those and keep aircraft from sitting idle on the ground is hard. My CI is sitting around 30 at this point.

I'm not sure where to go from here. I wanted to know if the more experienced players had some advice before I declared bankruptcy. Thanks for the help, if you need more info just let me know.

Some aircraft make significantly less than others but all my aircraft are in the green in terms of their weekly profits.

Is the B734 no longer profitable?
Should I focus the B752 on shorter routes?
Are there routes I should eliminate?

Scheduling Question: All the 0600-0700 slots are taken up by me and the competitor. At this point, is it safer to depart late around 0550 or at 0700?

I would personally start to phase the 737-200's out. They eat up more fuel than the newer ones

What routes are the 757's on?

Sami

0550 is still good dep time. 0530 even.

Thanks Sami, I've started experimenting with the 0530 routes and they seem to be doing really well. I've added some red-eyes after some other suggestions.

The boeing 757-200 are on IAH - SFO, IAH - LAS, IAH - EWR. They both are only making about $60-80k in weekly profits.

80k a week is low for that a/c. whats the lf on those routes?

Yeah, thats what I thought.

LF: 85% and 89.5%.

weird. Put them on some intl routes (To Canada, Mexico, Latin America). You will make good money with them then
