Money seems to plato and a Question regarding slots

Hey what's up,

So this is my first game here and I think I'm doing well after the my second bankruptcy and I'm still learning. So I got a couple questions below and if there is any additional pro tips you would like to offer, it would be very appreciated. I have read the manual and I have read some of the getting started posts.

  • My profit seems to plato (S?) since the last few routes. I have added about 5 more planes with routes but my profit hasn't risen. The routes are marketed with bill boards and I got national TV campaign going on right now for support. The routes image are pretty much at 100 percent or really close. The new planes do have about 70% capacity. I do understand that marketing costs goes up every time a route is open but I guess I'm not grasping on why I'm not gaining profit. Any ideas on what may be causing it and what I can do to improve? I'm averaging and stuck on 1.5M a week if there isn't any C checks.

  • So I think I'm grasping the fact that using the same time slots in the morning is a bad idea and I need to spread a little bit. What is a good spread? For example, most of my flights have a 7am slot. When I start the game over or whatever is it better to spread it out on each route like 7:00am, 7:05am, and etc? What's a good gap I guess? Also turn around times.... Right now I'm using about 1 above the minimum turn around time and about 20 minutes between depart time and take off. Any suggestions?

Thank you so much for reviewing my questions in advance and any additional help, even in pm would be great.

Thanks!

B

#1 is hard to answer without any specific details (like screenshot of the incomesheet).

#2 .. hmm, don't know where you have figured this out; but it does not make difference if you have 1 or 15 flights departing at 07am. Though you will have to pay more of the slots if 07am is the rush hour (with little available slots), but that is not really an issue.

I'm not sure what kind of screens shots you need but I hope this helps. The income statement is kind of low because I had 2 C checks recently just get done.

In order to increase profits, I suggest you

1) cancel route specific marketing campaigns - they are pretty useless
2) start buying out your fleet - it saves you money on insurance and is much cheaper in the long run

Just by doing those 2 things, your profits should increase.

Profits do tend to plateau once you stop adding planes - the more planes you have running, the better.
