Yep, I am in the progress of gathering the plane info already, thanks. (Seattle, no need to dig any data for now, thanks :) )

AHToronto

Yah Seattle...Just kidding ;D, but seriously, what is your info Sami... you know "Your :List"... :)

Sami

hmm, list.. what list?  Don't know what he meant there?   ???

ps. by the way, MD-95 was never produced, and the B717 we already have in the database.

AHToronto

it said they were on Wikipedia, because it showed SAS Scadinavian Airlines having one when i went to "Airliners.net", and an AirTran MD-95 showed up on Google Images

Sami

Well Wiki isn't always the most reliable source.. ;)

AHToronto

true but it is the only reliable source for finding actual useful info on different things. and plus, the guy that did the info thing, actually got the info from boeing(or other companies through Boeing)when he asked his dad(who works there)to check for him. you can't argue with Boeing or any other airplane maker...

love_bus

Well, you guys seen to have forgotten the classics..

NAMC YS-11:laugh:  8) - Thats for sure..

caribbeanboy

hey guys,

can you add the DHC6 twotter/twin otter

thanks!
looking forward to the game!!

A350-800,900,1000
- no reliable data yet. The plane is due to fly in 2013 or something.

C-110, C-130
- no data at all. The plane has been just authorized to offer to airlines and even the production go-ahead hasn't been made.

DC-8
- coming shortly.

MD-95
- Never produced under this name (although marketed as it for the first few years), it's B717 and has been added a long time ago.

ARJ21
- ACAC's site has new data since my last visit there, this can be added.

MRJ90
- Just has been authorized to offer to airlines, production go-ahead not made. Mitsubishi's site has some data though.

MC21
- Program not launched yet, Yak's site has some data though, have to investigate.

Tu-234
- => Tu-204-300. Have to dig this up.

Tu-334
- Has been in database already for a long time.

Tu-414
= Tu-324. Not launched. Some data on Tu's site but have to investigate.

Mercure
- Just added

Caravelle
- To be added.

SUPERJET 100
- Already added a time ago.

EMB-100
- No such design existed / was produced.

EMB-120 Jet
- No such design existed / was produced.

NAMC YS-11
- Will be added.

DHC-5/-6/-7
- Added.

AHToronto

OK Sami, thanks for the info. i will look for more planes just in case ;) ;D

Hi Sami,

I always thought it would be interesting for an airline sim to have prototype or speculative aircraft designs available based on the purchase activities of the players.  For example, in real life McDonnel Douglas simply could not compete with Boeing by the 1990's due to declining sales.  What if in the game, the players seem to like MD aircraft better than Boeing or Airbus aircraft (or equally as much)?  Would we have seen the advent of the MD-95 (instead of being reproduced as the B717) or the MD-12?  What if Boeing had gone ahead with its proposed double decker 747 (similar to A380 --a design it abandoned) because its pre-orders were so good?  I think it would be really cool to allow players to pre-order advertised/proposed aircraft and establish an early demand for the model (similar to Airbus gaining orders for the A350 before it was hardly on the drawing board!!!!).

Thanks!

No offense, but thats rather stupid. (dont kill me). We follow the history, we don't make it. However, looking at it from the perspective of fun... it would be interesting, maybe some planes that were firmly developed, such as the MD-95 could be added, however, nothing else.

Hmm, it would be a bit hard to model that entire manufacturer's history would change but wouldn't see it impossible to have a certain prototype to go into production if people would order it. Or other way around, it would not be launched if there are no orders. I think there was already this kind of proposal in some other thread.

Problem is though that there's quite limited data available on the prototype models that were never launched.
