MD-80/90 cabin crew

the MD-90 has the same size as the MD-80 ... so, why do I have to fly with 1 crew member more in the cabin? ... and, does this afect the cost of the airplane? or does the game calculate how many crew members are needed for a given amount of seats??

Crew member numbers were chosen arbitrarily by sami, as in real-life it's based off a huge number of variables, the least of which being the actual federal requirement.  It doesn't affect the cost of the plane, no, but it affects the cost of operating it since you've got more people.

If I were to guess, I would imagine sami's thought process there being that the flights the MD-90 would take would likely be longer ones, therefore additional crew were needed.

maybe for the MD93 ER, but the MD93 has even a shorter range than the MD83 ...

it isnt always range but the fact that you need so many attendants for the number of exit doors you have.  Perhaps the MD90 has an extra wing exit?

ok, the MD90 has 4 doors (+ those over the wings) ... but, the MD83 also... so, this isn't an argument in this case...
