is it a bug or what

Okay, that's really hard to read that block of text.  A screenshot helps.

But, near as I can tell, Fuel is your problem.  You're spending WAY too much of your revenue on Fuel.

What's your pricing like?  How much below Default are you going?

I ask because your fuel costs are VERY high in relation to your income.  I'd say you were flying in 1975 except I know you're not.  And you're not flying gas-guzzlers either.  But your fuel costs are a full THIRD of your revenues.  I would expect your fuel costs to be about 10% of your revenue.  So either your somehow paying WAY too much for fuel (which isn't possible), you're telling your pilots to run full-throttle 100% of the time (again, not possible), or your revenues simply aren't as high as they should be.

Since your planes are flying pretty full then the only thing I can think of is ticket prices.

So if fuel prices go up does that warrant raising ticket prices or is it simply about getting the most fuel efficient planes?

C checks, marketing, and CI are killing my once successful airline in Euro Challenge.  I was lucky to join when many were bankrupting or just plain quitting around 50%.  I have bankrupted many times in all three of the current medium level games and I feel like I am slowly figuring things out.  Unfortunately my fleet of MD-80's are just not profitable anymore for some reason.  It is hard to be patient for the arrival of the new worlds, but I will just have to wait.

Curse

Maybe you can replace your MD-80 with A320 or B737NG.

I have up to 40 737NG on the used market, so you mustn't wait long for delivery  ;D

MD80s-90s work great in AWS. I have more than 60 in my fleet and adding more. Some of my MDs create more profit than the A330s. Gotta respect the Mad Dog

Curse

You use MD-90-30. They are much more fuel efficient than MD-80...
