Make alliance members new moderators

Hi all, quick question:
I'm the only moderator left in my alliance and need to make new moderators.
It seems that there is no such function in the alliance control panel.
How should I make it? Delete a member and reinvite as a managing member?

That is the only way really, for someone to leave the alliance and then be re-invited as a managing member.  Or I suppose potentially, for a new member to be made manager, but this is of course unlikely.
