So.. was anything organized in Amsterdam?  ;D

In another topic i red AWS is popular in Finland as well. Sami, I think renting the Onnela nightclub for our conference would be a great idea?! Kiipis!  ;)

Near some of Stockholm's airports (I think that it is even Arlanda)

P.S.: AMS is just fine ;)

Pavlov

There's a similar hotel (or actually only one suite) at Groningen Eelde Airport GRQ. They've used an Ilyushin Il-18.

Yeah, I think it was in Arlanda too.. I remember seeing it on the news I think.

As like 20% of the players are from the UK, wouldn't it make sense to have it here?....

In October I'm moving to the UK, to work on a project at my company's HQ in the London City. So meeting there would be excellent for me. ;D And furthermore there are quite a lot of low fares AMS-LGW with Easyjet, BMI & FlyBe.

Im still saying that you have a conference on each side of the Atlantic Ocean.

ICEcoldair881

yeah, one in a few years on this side of the pond and one on the other side in a few years as well. ;)

What about Iceland? It's a fair middle ground for everyone we can all meet in the middle.....plus I already have a ticket to go there on the 20th of January anyways, two birds with one stone.  ::)

I'd love to see my wife's face when I tell her that I have to fly to a AWS 'convention'.  I'd permanently lose points with her.

swiftus, tell her, you're just checking out the airport for possible slot hogging...

I think we should meet at Helsinki and lay a shrine to the allmighty.

Icelandair only flies during the summer from BRU to KEF and I don't like to swim  ;D Anyway, I think it's even cheaper to cross the pond completely to the US then fly to Iceland (though Iceland is a beautifull country).

What about a meeting in the capital of Europe (yes, Brussels that is ;D) or the capital of the US (Washington, DC).  Both BRU and IAD are central located and easy to reach by plane, train and car.  And you'll have to admit, Belgium has the best beers of the world

Maarten Otto

Brussels is fine to me... With the Thalys High Speed service it's just over an hour away from Amsterdam.

First class staff tickets come at €15,- one way. And that does include free meal and drinks  ;D

Ilyushin

I might attend a meeting but only if it's in Amsterdam. :P

For you, but how does it look for people not working for the NS?! [NS= Dutch Railway-cooperation]

NO!!!?? Ever been to Germany? than you know what really good beer is! In Germany, in regard to the purity law, what you call beer would be named "hop-juice" or something like that in Germany, but not beer!

Though I must admit: Budweiser [the original Czech one, not the STOLEN US-VERSION!] is, in respect to being the original kind of "Pils", is one of the best...
