How do I determine the demand on a second leg?

For example say I wanted to create a route from some airport in Russia to some airport in Germany to some airport in Spain.  Is it possible to see what the demand and competition is from Germany to Spain?  I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere...

Go routes > route planning. Instead of your base airport at the top click the back arrow to choose another airport of departure. Then choose the destination as normal and it will show demand for that route pair.

You can't open route like that anymore as multi-leg-routes were removed from AWS (1.2). You can only make a refueling stop.

Just figured out how to view the information and didn't know the second bit.  I am new but I thought I did make a route like that something like two days ago.  Was the change that recent?

the change does not apply to the game world you are playing. It's only in the latest world so far.
