MT2: B747 prices too high?

In MT2 (It's 1986) the cheapest 747-300 is $116 million. IRL, the price of a base 747-300 was $82 million in 1982.  I don't know about you guys, but that seems like a lot of inflation.  I know that demand affects the cost, but no one has ordered the 747-300.  The prices seem high for the other 747s, too.  Are there other factors in aircraft pricing in V1.2?

The inflation model on what Boeing (or what ever the source is?) has quoted that 1982 may not be the same what the game uses I guess.

My small complaint is that I wasn't able to afford one by $100,00 at the start of the game, so I went with the 707 that can't reach many of the destinations I want to serve by very little miles.  :(

In previous games I've noticed extremely high inflation in aircraft pricing in the late 70's and early '80s.  But, that is realistic, as anyone who lived in that time can tell you that double-digit inflation wasn't unheard of.

Between 1980 and 1985, inflation in the US was in the neighborhood of 40%, and the US was one of the more better off areas so the numbers Sami uses are quite likely even higher.  So it's no surprise to see that price disparity that you're seeing.
