Hi Guys and Gals,

Long time no see. I just read Sami's post listing the updates for the next version of AWS. I noticed that we can open a second hub in the same country as our base and or economic zone. Can some one please define for me what the economic zone will mean in the context of AWS?.

I am assuming that if I open my base in Bangkok, then I should be able to open a secondry hub in another Asian country right, as they share he same econmic zone?

Anyway, id like to know a few more details about this one in order to plan for the next game.

Cheers,

NicholasB

From manual:

"Your new base airport may only be in the same country as your HQ (home base) airport. Exception to this are the common economic areas with free air travel competition (namely, European Union). So if you are based in Tokyo, Japan, you can open a base airport anywhere in Japan. If you are based in United Kingdom you can open a base anywhere in EU countries (including UK)."

EU is the only economic area at the moment.

Thanks Powi!

Makes sense, Here is one for Sami, how about ASEAN? Association of South East Asian Nations. Supposedly co-operating with each other on many fronts, economicaly etc.,

Just thought I would ask

So If I am based on UK, I can also have a second hub in Hong Kong up till 1997 right? OR will I get to keep hong kong?

I also support to let ASEAN allowed for multiple hubs. As in the reality, from 2011, the sky of ASEAN is totally opened. Any airline from any ASEAN country can operate any route within this region. (Same as EU sky).

So I suggest the next game world may allow this from 2011 onwards, following the reality.
