paris le bourget

 wonder if anyone has used paris le bourget as a base previously as i have just noticed in wiki that it looses international trafic in 77 and is closed as a comercial airport in 80, i'm guessing that this is modelled but am hoping not

Airport closure and 'degrading' like this are modeled. So in this case you will be moved to Orly I think.

Yep! You only have ORY and CDG available to you. If I'm not mistaken, UTA ran the last scheduled flights out of Le Bourget in the early 70's and moved everything to CDG when it opened. Thats to the best of my recollection.

doesnt RyanAir fly into a no-name airport near Paris?

wait its Beauvais-Tillé Airport. Ryanair calsl it "Paris- Beauvais".
