Hi everyone, I´m going to open some topics in the next days with some suggestions in order to make the game more atractive and interesting for regional companies. I like this kind of airlines and I think the game is more funny playing a small to medium regional company, for example, you have a big variety of planes to compare and choose. (Not only Boeing and Airbus like happens if you are playing a big company).

Here is the first one.

I would like to include another variable in the game engine, a new one considering the "preference" of the passengers for a kind of company. I think that in mid to small airports, the passengers of a city will be more happy flying with "their" company (a local one) than an international monster.

What I say is based in real numbers. I live in Leon, a small city in the north of Spain and I fly monthly to Madrid and Barcelona. During 2007 and 2008 there was a local company calle Lagun Air offering flights from here and we were able to pay a bit more to fly with this company (a local one... our airline!!) than to fly with Iberia, the other company flying from here.

I would like the game to consider this, becouse in the actual sim any company can open a flight and compete with a local company with any problem. This is not realistic, becouse I cant imagine a "big one" flying regional flights with 30 daily pax and you can see this in the game.

We already have choices. Make a small airline with Cessnas if you want to. Choices abound in these games.

PS- All you have to do is create the kind of carrier you are talking about. All the materials for you are in the game.

I feel like he is right a lot of the time passenger will be very loyal to a company they find comfortable. I also speek from experience. I live in Phily for two years but I am originally from Spain. Whenever I flew back home I took USAirways (based out of phily) because it was most comfortable. I then moved firts to Baltimore and then to New York and I would still take the train to philadelphia and then fly out of PHL because I found it much better than Iberia that flew from Madrid to Washington and JFK. For some people it doesn´t really matter and just choose whatever is cheapest. I feel like you should have a metter for passenger loyalty and if you offer a good service (comfortable seats right now or other ammenities maybe available in the future) you will have high passenger loyalty and if not you won´t.
