Slot costs very high

My airlines is based in Las Vegas. Why everytime I schedule a route, they charge me very expensive slot costs? Is that because Las Vegas is my base? Why the destination airport doesn't charge me that high?  HELP PLEASE ?

I guess I have read that before, but I can make my own conclusion now. I should choose a quiet airport in order to avoid higher slot costs. Thanks sami anyway !!!
