Animated Alliance icons

I notice that Animated alliance logos have arrived.

They make reading timetables very difficult and are a huge distraction when there listed ten in a line.

Can they be removed?

But I must agree that it is irritating a lot. The WL one is fine but the one complained about is just to much.

I agree... I know that this is a game and we're here to have fun, but sometimes people just go overboard with their graphics editing programs, and it's kind of annoying/distracting to see a whole line of flashing little icons, lol...

one solution is if your using firefox,

download the 'Adblock Plus' addon,

Then block the image / flash etc.. great for irritating flash banners, adverts, images etc.

I have to download some software in order not to be frustrated by these stupid things... 

I think it's admin time to act and set rules regarding these things. Once again... the worldLink logo is fine as it is well thought of and is pleasent to the eye.

They have set rules.  Taken from the section of the alliance control panel page for uploading icons:

GIF/JPG format, size 16x16 pixels (used at timetables etc) - do not use animated icons.

All animated icons would appear to be forbidden.

As clearly as it is stated there - animated alliance icons are not allowed.

You may send a friendly PM to the alliance manager advising him of that, with a link to this thread.
