I started a new game and I am only allowed to make two a/c orders. I made one order of new 3 new planes.  Does that actually count as 3 orders (1 each a/c) because I would like to place another order of a used a/c but I get an error that says I have already placed two orders or is some kind of mistake.

Thanks, Allen

Not quite sure how it is intended to be but I guess if you would have ordered 1 used, you could have still made the order of 3 new ones. Or something like that.

But IMHO that's really not an issue as ordering new planes is really not the way to start. As you have to wait for several game months to get them etc.

I am confused as I can never order new a/c at the start anyway.  Where do you get the cash to order new a/c?  There doesn't seem to be any means of financing the purchase of new a/c.

You can take a loan out at the start and it also depends what size aircraft you want.  You can lease a fair few of the smaller props on the first day with only start-up cash+loan.

Thanks Dave.  I have been leasing at the start which makes sense anyway.  I was just wondering if there was a way to finance a new purchase using the new a/c as security.  Say 20% down and a loan of 80% with the new a/c being the collateral.  Seems to me a realistic means of financing.  I doubt airlines are paying all cash to buy a/c.  The way it works now it seems you either need to pay cash or lease.

Not you first one, but you can do that for all future ones using previous purchases as collateral.  So you just gotta scrounge up enough cash for the first one and you're set from there and you can grow exponentially.

Thanks Sigma!

Maybe in a future version that ability could be added as it seems to be realistic.  But as I said, great game!  This from a Ph.D. in transportation and logistics with extensive transportation industry and academic experience.  Thanks again.
