Ordering Aircraft

Is there any way to choose the slot for delievery when you are ordering new aircraft?

No, you get the next available opening after any existing order you may have.

The option to choose was supposed to be in there, apparently sami dumped it sometime before implementation.

Anyway, has anybody here ever thought about the "white tail" option? I know that Boeing and Airbus usually build some a/c without order from any specific customer so they could be promptly delivered to anyone... Why not making the a/c oreder but not delivered to bankrupt customer available as "white tail" with lower prices and very short lead time?

Oh it's certainly be thought of.  And discounted.  That would yield situations somewhat similar to what we had before, when someone would BK and those who knew (often those in their Alliance) would swoop in and grab their slots in the production queue, often giving them a HUGE advantage.  Not to mention seriously p***ing off those that had been waiting in the queues for, often times, years only to see you cut in line. 

It's also really a fairly uncommon thing to really worry about spending the time to put into the game.
