Delays

Hi, I'm new to this. I am getting delays on most of my routes due to scheduling - I am flying my 2 routes constantly and get getting a LF of between 50% - 65% my turnaround time is 20 mins, should I re-schedule my routes to 50mins turnaround time or is this too long??

Also, would appreciate any tips on how to increase my Loadfactor on most of my routes to 80% + if possible.

My aircraft are 2 x SF34 Flying between EIDW - EGCC and EIDW - EGSS, I cancelled flights that were returning a LF of 40%.

Thanks,

Ger.

Heya Ger,

When you create the route, you will see the estimated risk of having schedule related delays on the same line where you set the turnaround times. I usually set my turn around times so I have around 10-15% risk, though I could probably increase my times by a few minutes to lower it further.

As for load factor, this will start out quite low (50-60, sometimes even lower) but as your route image increases you will start seeing more passengers on your flights. Marketing helps to increase your image - investment like that usually return lots of money. I also see that you have quite some competition on your flights to Gatwick, you might want to lower the prices or reschedule to other destinations.

Good luck!

Thanks Tivec for your suggestions, will check these out and make a few changes and see how I get on - Thanks again for the reply :)
