Route planning thoughts

Hello,

I just thought I'd share an idea I had when it comes to route planning. Right now when I go into route planning, I have to choose an airport pair to be able to see the approximate passenger numbers. While this is good, it comes to a lot of clicking to find out what routes have a certain demand. The meters I see in the airport list does not seem to reflect the demand on the route but instead the size of the airport.

What I'd like to see is some sort of tool where you can select min and max distance from a given airport, and get a list of approximate passengers/day between all in that range. I can imagine it costing game money to do that, since it would of course require certain effort from the route strategies department - this cost could scale with the amount of airports etc. If more money is spent, competition on these routes could be shown as well.

What are your thoughts on this?

I don't use the route planning feature as I agree it is rather "clicky".

I use the "open new route" function and click on the little blue globe by the destination airports which opens a pop up window displaying the route info. Then you can just click outside the box and it disappears and you dont have to go back and forward.

Same as NorgeFly, I use the Open New Route function, it is less clicky and more friendly.

Indeed, never thought I could use it like that. That sure speeds searching for profitable routes a bit easier. At the same time, being given a list of passengers on a given route list (min/max range span) would be quite neat.
