Hi @all,

well I know this topic was still in some parts in discussion before. ;)

In JA3 there are the great DC - 8 series, so my questions to Sami, do we also get
the Super Seventhies Series DC 8 - 72 & 73?

Or is there are a possibility with the function "configure aircraft" to pimp the DC - 8 - 63 for
example up to a DC 8 - 73 with the better imoroved engines?

Thanks and greetinngs

I've checked the date, they were certified in 1982, look like can be used in JA3

but there is no this kind of setting in AWS yet

Weren't the 70s conversions of the 60s?

Yes you are wright, so I hope that it might be possible to pimp the sixties up with using the "configure" feature...

But I don´t know how difficult this for sami is ;)

A kind of, it was because of annoyance due to noise, that some airports made trouble, so that some airlines and Douglas had to find a solution with more quiet enginens.

70 series isn't included yet. Partly as they were only conversions.

The whole conversion thing is not thought of, any of such models are merely added as normal manufacturer-made planes.. Don't think that is too big issue though?

If you are in Jet age with a lot of DC-8-6x, using CFM sounds a good way to save money on fuel 8)
