Buying a used aircraft in need of a C-check

I've recently bought 2 aircraft in need of C-checks from the used market (not the best business I know, but I need to expand somehow).  The first, a 737, has been delivered and was not immediately automatically C-checked, so I did it manually.  Not a problem.

The second, a DC-10, is currently on order and it will be delivered when I'm asleep.  I am worried that the C-check will not be performed automatically and I will receive a fine from the authorities when I wake up.  Is there any way to make sure a C-check is performed?  My auto C & D-check buttons are on.  I am just a bit worried, with my 737 not being C-checked straight away.

I was thinking maybe I could not schedule the aircraft for any routes to avoid problems?

Cheers,

Dave

i think if the auto checks are on the c-check will be performed.
But if you want to be totally sure and you don't wanna take a risk you should indeed just dont schedule any flight.

I also had to lease an aircraft with an expired C check and when it was delivered the status was "C check expired" but it did not go into C check automatically.

I'm glad this has happened to someone else.  I thought maybe I was missing something.  I've been playing this game virtually daily since January and I'd not come across this before.

I think I'll just clear the aircraft's schedule to save any problems.  Cheers Thomash and Antti :)

when you lease an a/c you can order a c- or d-check before delivery.
isn't this what you're looking for?  ???

Of course...  :-[

I think I'll tick that box in the future.  I'd just assumed that the aircraft would go for a C-check on its first day of service, but it seems not

Cheers :)

EDIT:  I think I need one of those smileys too  :-[

Ac deliveries are at 12.00 and maintenances at 24.00 so basically it can be expired for 12hrs if you haven't checked the "do C check on delivery" when you buy/lease it ... But you won't get a fine as CAA fines are also triggered at 12.00 ;)

(but keep the automatic C/D checks on in that case!)
