Route demand - different numbers in different places?

I apologize if this has been discussed in the past, but I didn't see it.

So I'm planning to add a couple more flights on one of my routes in the Beginner's game world. I've noticed that the Route Demand numbers are different, depending on where you look. If you go to an existing route and click "Route Information", you get one number. If you go to "Open Route" -> "Route Information", you get a different number. If you go to "Airport Information" -> "List Destinations and Airlines" -> "Route Planning", you get a third number. All for the same route. Why is there a discrepancy? And which number is the accurate one (or are they all just an estimation)?

They're all an estimation.

If you notice in the bottom right of the demand graph, it will even tell you that it's an estimation within a certain accuracy.

It's supposed to be that, depending on how well-staffed your Route Strategies department is, that number is effected.  But I've never tried over- or under-staffing it to find out.

In my experience it always says ~95% accurate, but it's always more like ~90% accurate.  And you can see it yourself by just opening the graph on the same screen repetitively.  It'll give you a different number every single time.
