Choose your favourite Boeing out of this list

Was a big fan of the 707 back in the day (used to fly from DFW to ORD on the AA ones when I was a lad).  And nowadays, I love the look of the 757 (the way it sits high on its gear, long and lean, with the "angry" cockpit windows, like a fighting Mantis).   ;)

This is a tough one so I'm not voting.

For me, it's a tie between the 737, 747, and 767.  :)

As much as I love the looks of the 787, it's not flying yet, so I can't choose that one. I went with the 757 and the 777 for a few reasons. The 757 has the capability to fly trans-atlantic routes, it has great capacity, and it just looks so sleek. I love it in the American livery too. I chose the 777 because it has a huge range and capacity spectrum and it looks miles better than the A330 in my opinion.

Branmuffin

Gotta go with the classic 727 for its looks, and the 757 for its uniqueness and usefulness!

Going with Branmuffins answer here. I've always liked trijets for some reason and the 757 just looks great and is a powerhouse airplane.

toyotaboy95

going with the 777 for efficiency and long-range (77W) while the 747 for capacity.

The title should be changed to "Favorite Boring"  ;)

Well... There's two threads, one for Boeing and one for Airbus, and not only does the Boeing thread have more posts in it, it has more views. Boeing = boring? I think not. ;)

I know that there are two threads.... it was a joke.

737.... it's the most popular jet plane in the world and it got that title for a reason. I think it's a good plane all together. Second choice is the 777, simply for it's range.

757-200

Nothing says power more then a rolling, max power takeoff from a 752. Mmm... sweet music to my ears.  :)

nope, it's no longer the most popular. Many low-cost carriers (Easyjet, AirAsia etc.) are now looking to Airbus A320s to replace their fleet and placing hundreds of orders. Quote from Airbus "Airbus A320 Family aircraft have been sold and more than 3,800 delivered to some 300 customers and operators worldwide, making it the worlds best-selling commercial jetliner ever."

All the derivatives of the 737 have delivered a couple thousand more than that. I suppose it all depends are where you start counting.

Dasha

But seriously... who would voluntarily fly LCC??

I've been with EasyJet once.. from Amsterdam to London and althoug the planes might have been better than a Tupolev or Ilyushin, NOTHING brings you closer to the feeling of being used as cattle than EasyJet and RyanAir.

I avoid them at all costs..

Not if it's JetBlue or Virgin America. Those airlines put Ryanair and EasyJet to shame. ;)

Dasha

Never been on them... but I can imagine that it's only better than RyanAir or EasyJet... those shouldn't even deserve the name airline... Cattletransport is more like it.

I agree with you there! I couldn't find a good pic of JetBlue's interior, but here is V.America's:

I actually had NO complaints at all. I'm so happy they're flying out of John Wayne Airport now.  ;D

I LOVE jetBlue's DirecTV!!!, though in need of a revamp when compared to asian carriers, but light years ahead of most full-service carriers.
