Flight Irregularity Compensation Costs

New features

• Flight Irregularity Compensation Costs added:
  • Choose a Compensation Policy for passengers affected by delays of 2 hours or more or flight cancellations, using the new Costs & Policy tab.
  • There are four policies: No compensations, Basic, Standard and Generous. The more you spend on taking care of the affected passengers, the less effect a flight disruption has to your Company Image.
  • To get the full benefit of your chosen policy, your customer services department must have enough staff and good morale.
  • The overall cost effect to airlines of this new feature is negligible: The compensation costs can range from approx. 0.5 to 2.0% of revenue, but with a good Compensation Policy you are able to reduce your marketing costs with similar amount.
  • For the next 5 days, compensation costs appear in reports and the Income Statement, but are not deducted from cash. The Company Image benefits are also disabled during this introductory period. Please select your preferred policy before this feature becomes fully active.
  • Flight Delays page is renamed to Flight Irregularities.
