New features

• Airline Restructuring feature introduced:
  • The Bankruptcy & Restructuring page now includes the new airline restructuring feature.
  • Financially distressed airlines can create a recovery plan instead of being closed down by the bank.
  • Restructuring tools can be used to raise cash, reduce costs and simplify operations through measures such as fleet reductions, base closures, staff reductions, loan term extensions and aircraft order cancellations.
  • The full plan and its financial effects are shown before confirmation.
  • Successful restructuring clears the current bankruptcy warning and provides a temporary protection period against a new bank warning and bankruptcy for a limited period. During this time opening new bases and acquiring additional aircraft is not possible at all.
  • Cash raised through restructuring is capped to prevent the feature from being used as a source of excess funds.
  • Restructuring is intended as a rare last-resort option and becomes unavailable again for 50 game years after use.
