BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA – Just 18 months after launching operations, Alas Argentinas—the country's pioneer in long-haul aviation—today celebrated the arrival of its new flagship, the McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30, at Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE).
The addition of seven DC-10s marks a major expansion for the airline's fleet, which already includes 21 DC-8s, 5 Boeing 737s, 4 Fokker F27s, and 16 EMB110Cs operating across EZE and its secondary base in Mar del Plata (MDQ). The new widebody jets enable daily connections from Buenos Aires to Madrid, Barcelona, Sydney, New York (JFK), and Johannesburg, further strengthening the network of Elite Worldwide Alliance.
