Title: American Regional Challenge opens on Tuesday 30th June
Post by: Sami on June 25, 2026, 04:52:47 PM
A new short-length game world, American Regional Challenge, opens on Tuesday 30th June.

This special scenario focuses on regional airline operations across North and South America between 1988 and 2000. Only turboprops and regional jets are available, while elevated passenger demand in South America and no geopolitical basing restrictions create new opportunities for expansion. With a simulation speed of 20 minutes per game day, this is a fast-paced challenge with 2 months of real play time.

Pre-joining is now open at https://www.airwaysim.com/Game/#game518

It's important to know, before deciding where to start:  Will there be an out-of-base limit and if so, will it start quite high? 12 years isn't very long for it to grow. Will there be the usual limit of ten bases or will this be a total free-for-all (which I think would be much better)?

It will be without the usual base limitations.
