Japan Aero Transit (JAT) is proud to announce the official launch of its historic milestone in the evolution from a domestic carrier to a premier regional airline, with the official opening of its newest base at Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO). This strategic expansion signals a new chapter for JAT, as it strengthens its footprint across the Asian aviation landscape and beyond.


A Dual-Base Strategy for Future Growth

Under the new operational framework, JAT will implement a robust "Dual-Base" strategy, with Osaka-Itami (ITM) and Nagoya-Chubu (NGO) serving as the twin pillars of the airline's network.

• Nagoya (NGO): Positioned as JAT's primary International Gateway, NGO will serve as the launchpad for connecting Japan to global destinations, leveraging the airport's 24-hour operational capabilities to facilitate seamless international travel and cargo transit.
• Osaka (ITM) & Okinawa (OKA): These locations remain the Core Domestic Hubs, ensuring unparalleled connectivity across the Japanese archipelago.

Precision-Tiered Fleet Deployment

To optimize operational efficiency and passenger comfort, JAT has refined its fleet deployment strategy across three distinct tiers:

• Long-Haul & Trunk Routes: The Airbus A330 and A340 wide-body fleet will take charge of high-demand trunk routes and the newly inaugurated long-haul services, providing the range and capacity needed for international expansion.
• Primary Domestic Routes: The Airbus A320 and A321 narrow-body aircraft will serve as the workhorses for Japan's major domestic corridors, offering a balance of frequency and superior cabin service.
• Regional Feeder Network: The Bombardier CRJ900 fleet continues to be the backbone of JAT's regional connectivity, linking smaller domestic cities to the major hubs at ITM and NGO.
