Title: ReedAir Welcomes New Competition at NZWP Auckland Whenuapai
Post by: reedme on August 09, 2025, 06:30:05 PM
ReedAir, Whenuapai's proud home carrier since the dawn of the jet age (and well before it), extends a warm welcome to our latest competitor, now embarking on their newest airborne adventure.

While our neighbours in the hangar have had more comebacks than a Wellington southerly, ReedAir admires their enthusiasm and applauds their decision to once again take to the skies—this time aboard two distinguished Boeing 377s. These fine aircraft, known fondly to aviation historians and spare-parts collectors alike, will no doubt offer passengers an... unforgettable experience.

At ReedAir, under the steady hand of our CEO, ReedME, we remain committed to delivering what New Zealand travellers value most:

   •   Safety — With our fleet of meticulously maintained Fokker F27 Friendships and Bristol Britannias, your journey is as dependable as the rising sun.
   •   Reliability — We have never missed a scheduled departure due to bankruptcy.
   •   Comfort — Spacious cabins, courteous crews, and that unmistakable ReedAir touch.

This month also marks a proud yet sentimental moment in our history: the phased retirement of our faithful de Havilland Dove and Heron fleet is in full swing and more than 50% complete. These stalwart aircraft have served ReedAir with distinction across the length and breadth of New Zealand, and will be fondly remembered by crew and passengers alike for their unflappable reliability and distinctive charm.

We wish our new friends the very best in their latest rebirth and look forward to a spirited and friendly competition in the skies over Aotearoa. After all, nothing keeps us sharper than having someone to wave at on the tarmac.

Passengers seeking the sure thing in air travel know where to turn: ReedAirFlying First, Flying Right.
