I ordered 2 planes and attached them routes and a massive payment of 1 021 100 USD was deducted from my account.
It's registered in cash flow statement as airport slot fees. It doesn't even appear as a loss of income, so it won't reduce my taxes.
See screenshot attached, I don't really know if it's as intended, but if it's not than it puts me far behind competition...
That's it works, they're assets. If it cheers you up it works the same way for all the other players. Early on when cash is tight you'll often find yourself buying slots 1 day at a time. Also putting routes on aircraft 2 weeks they arrive means 2 weeks of wages,since pilots are hired when routes are scheduled to planes.
Some folks create the routes, but not but the slots or schedule them to plans, until delivery day.
