Does seat config affect at all? Or is there update done in the near past?

If I remember correctly example compared to standard seating to premium all u get is less seating and no affect to anything?
So it is wise just to stick standard?
It depends on your flight time, and route details. On short flights (<5 h) it doesn't affect that much.
