AirwaySim's web services will be moved to a new server hardware next week.
The preliminary date for the move is Thursday 7th December (in the afternoon EU time), but this might still change. During the move you can expect a short (< 1 hr) downtime of the services, with games being paused at that time.
This change is part of the general all-around upgrading and rationalization of company's server hardware, and also brings in more computing capacity to the backend services of the simulation.
I always have to ask - hardware specs?
Nothing fancy, still trusting the latest i7 series since it has a solid single core performance that is useful for backend calculations.
Database server won't be upgraded at this time since it will probably be merged with the new web server since it will have extra capacity for that, but let's see.
The migration to the new server has been now done.
There might be still some fine-tuning to be done, so please let me know if you see any errors.

I hadn't played for a while but back then I could not remember any lag issues like the ones I am experiencing right now with "new servers". It is only periodic but when it hits (like today a few minutes before 3pm CET) it makes the game non responsive. It also affects the forums.

If you can spot the exact time for that it will be very helpful.
Or if it affects certain game, or certain page.
I'm playing Age of Flight. It lasted for a few minutes around 14:50 to 14:55 CET
Let me see if you spot it again, can't see anything specific in the logs for now.
right now happened again 16:11 to 16:13 non responsive both games and forums - other websites loaded just fine
(at least 2 full minutes of non responsive)
Next time, check with different browser to load https://server2.aviation.fi/ and see if you get the (blank) index page of the server we're on,just to test...
